Vex'd are Jamie and Roly from London. Jamie just told me on the phone that they met at school (not in Bristol as I'd previously mentioned) and have known each other since time... But it was while in Bristol that they released their first two classic 12"s on the Subtext label. It was 'Pop Pop' (from Subtext 1) & 'Lion' (from Subtext 2) that caught my attention on their demo... I wanted to release Lion but they'd already cut it... so we decided to roll with the new stuff... first fruits were the 'Gunman'/'Smart Bomb' single which was followed by the 'Degenerate' album in June 2005 which I think opened up the idm and techno minds to the possibilities of dubstep... And has since gone on to be the best selling dubstep release so far. This was followed up in early 06 by the menacing 'Bombardment Of Saturn' showcasing a slightly more sinister sound. Their new stuff for the forthcoming album is sounding amazing, and i'm sure that you will all be blown away by it... meanwhile we will be releasing their remix of Distance's Fallen... deep
