Speedranch returns after his "making orange things" release with Venetian Snares, but this time Mr Jansky Noise joins him. Im sure "Migrate" is going to be one onslaught of a cd, especially with them two maniacs behind it.

I USED to say that Speedranch Janskynoise's album Welcome To Execrate was the most unlistenable and testing album in my collection. It now has to settle for second place, cause THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL. More headfuck, fuck you and your dog, no wave-style electronic torture that has absolutely no desire to kiss and make up. if you've ever cocked about on a piece of music software for over half an hour, it will be clear to you that while some aspects of electronic composition are utterly mind-boggling, others, like magically hatching a noisy mess and calling it 'darkcore ambient', are childsplay. the level of global disk space tied up in 12-minute diy 'sound-scapes' knocked out of a native instruments package must surely rival the amount frozen in moronic cyclical fruity

Adorned with drawings of malevolent cartoon monsters and a shot of some toothless geezer sucking on a forty ounce (of Crazy Horse, no less), Speedranch and Jansky Noise’s Migrate record looks to have all the trappings of a wicked metal showdown (with the clever song titles to boot). But these two traffic strictly in the noise aesthetic; metal sonics that sound as if conjured from spinning Sabbath records backwards in the hope of finding messages
