Frost Jockey
- Artist: Frost Jockey
Description
The nom de plume of Chris Morrison, an elusive figure who used to be a flatmate of Tim Tetlow. I met both Chris & Tim when I was in college (with Jega) and we used to go clubbing and attend Aphex gigs together (yes, he really did used to play live, quite a lot). The 2 Frost Jockey ep's were recorded by Chris (with a little help from me) in '96 & '97 at his flat in Shepherds Bush, London entirely on a Clavia Nord Lead 2 (hence the sleeves). Chris's music is inspired by Detroit electro / techno such as Drexciya & UR as well as The Aphex Twin & Rephlex stuff. From what I've heard of Chris's new stuff, he is going in a more minimal direction inspired by Hawtin & Oliver Ho & that sort of thing. Send us a new tape soon Chris, go on...
